Today – just could be your lucky day! Today could be the day your expectations for a bright future come clearly into focus. This moment could be that moment when you put it all together and discover how you can make money on demand. This could be the day when you discover you never need be broke or out of work again.
What if you could be part of a profession that could put you into a position to earn more money than most doctors, lawyers, politicians, corporate CEO’s, IT professionals and the like? What if you could start today and did not need a college degree or special connections to enter this profession? What if you could enter this profession part time and keep your current job? What would your life look like if you could make two, three, four or even five times the money you’re making right now? How would things change for
you? Would you do it?
The profession that I am talking about is the profession of selling. Professional selling is a lot different from what many people think it is and you can write your own ticket if you know how.
From experience, I define professional selling as the practice of skillfully using the tools of persuasion to trade things of value profitably. Once you know what the tools are and how to use them, you will never be out of work or broke again. You will have acquired a portable skill that you can use wherever in the world you decide to go. In the worst-case scenario, you will find yourself creating a business where you can apply your skills honestly, guiltlessly and profitably.
These are the first steps to changing your life by becoming a professional sales person:
- Commit to learning the profession. Do not quit your regular job until you know what you are doing. Start small, learn the basics, make some money – and then decide.
- Once committed, promise yourself you are going to do it – start part time.
- Work for commission – performance pay is always higher than salary plus commission and there is no greater motivation for success than seeing the immediate return on investment from being paid a commission.
- Find a product you want to sell, research the industry (use the internet), learn who the competitors are and then apply for a sales job selling that product - (entry level is OK).
- Develop and implement a working sales process.
- Learn as much as you can from sales leaders

- Have Fun Along The Way
Remember to save a portion of what you make – It is not what you make, it is what you keep that counts! In my next entry I will explain what developing and implementing a sales process is and how to do it.
